Why I Joined the Intuit IDEAS Program
As a small business owner, I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, grow, and gain an edge. Recently, I made a big decision to invest in my future by joining the Intuit IDEAS Program, a year-long business accelerator designed to help entrepreneurs grow and scale with the kind of support usually reserved for large corporations.
I couldn’t be more excited! I want to share why I jumped at this opportunity and what I hope to gain from this experience. Here are the top reasons I joined IDEAS and why it’s can be a game-changer for my business:
Access to Tools and Expertise Once Reserved for Top CEOs
One of the biggest advantages of the Intuit IDEAS Program is that it gives small business owners like me access to the same level of tools, technology, and expertise that Fortune 500 executives and major CEOs use to run their companies.
Through IDEAS, I get free access to Intuit’s powerful ecosystem including QuickBooks, TurboTax, Mailchimp, and Credit Karma along with direct guidance from Intuit’s experts on how to use these tools strategically.
For me, this means I can finally run my business with the same level of financial clarity, marketing sophistication, and data-driven insight that large corporations depend on. I can automate my bookkeeping, optimize my cash flow, and execute professional-level marketing campaigns; all without additional overhead.
It’s like having a personal CFO, marketing strategist, and operations expert rolled into one, powered by Intuit’s AI-driven platform and years of expertise.
Executive-Level Coaching and Mentorship
Another incredible part of IDEAS is the dual-coaching model, which mirrors the executive support systems available to top business leaders.
Each IDEAS entrepreneur works with both:
-
A business counselor from the National Urban League, providing strategy, growth, and operational guidance.
-
An executive coach from Zella Life, focused on leadership development, confidence, and mindset: the same kind of high-impact coaching that senior executives at global companies receive.
I’m not just getting advice, I’m building leadership skills and business systems that will help me operate at a higher level.
A Community of High-Ambition Entrepreneurs
I’m now part of a nationwide network of entrepreneurs from nine cities (and a special cohort for military veteran and military spouse business owners).
Through IDEAS, I have the chance to collaborate, share ideas, and grow alongside a diverse group of founders who are as driven as I am. This program connects me not only to my peers but also to Intuit’s broader professional network, giving me a seat at the same table as industry leaders, alumni, and experts.
Non-Dilutive Funding and Real Business Growth
Every entrepreneur who completes the IDEAS Program receives a non-dilutive grant to reinvest in their business; no equity, no strings attached.
That grant, combined with access to software, training, and technology stipends, provides a financial boost that can have a big impact for a small business. Whether it’s upgrading equipment, enhancing marketing, or expanding operations, this funding is designed to help us scale sustainably.
A Mission That Aligns with My Values
Beyond the tangible benefits, I joined IDEAS because of what it represents. IDEAS stands for Invest, Develop, Empower, Accelerate, and Scale. That’s exactly the journey I want for my business.
The program embodies Intuit’s mission to “power prosperity for all.”
Final Thoughts
In short, I joined the Intuit IDEAS Program because it offers small business owners big business advantages, world-class technology, executive-caliber coaching, capital, and a thriving entrepreneurial network.
Over the next 12 months, I’ll be learning, growing, and building systems that will help Amour Propre reach new heights operating with the same sophistication and insight as top-performing organizations.
If you’re a fellow entrepreneur, keep an eye out for opportunities like this. 🚀
